Make Your Emails More Effective with Tracking

Whether you’re a business of 1 or 1 million, it’s important to know whether or not your email communications are reaching your target audience and being productive. While larger organizations can pay for advanced email systems, even small and medium businesses can do more with email if they know what their potential customers are clicking on and reacting to.

Recently, I came across Sidekick, a tool from the people at Hubspot, that can help you do just that. A free application, it allows you to track opens and click-throughs on regular emails, just like you might in a newsletter through your email service provider.

Keep an eye on the click-throughs to adjust your subject lines to be more appealing, and of course, to decide which links are most relevant to your customers.

I’ve been using Sidekick for about a month, and I like how easy it is to use, as well as its flexibility in terms of notifications and interface. Finally, the fact that you can track up to 200 emails a month for free doesn’t hurt either.

Have you tried Sidekick? I’d love to hear your thoughts–leave a comment!
